As a mom of two boys our founder Amelia noted the same selection of toys directed at her boys weren’t aimed at girls the same way. She found the world was telling her boys they can be scientists and engineers through early play, but their friends who were girls had pink vacuums, dolls to dress up, and play kitchens. They had jewellery making kits, but no one offered them a tool kit. She realized the boys clothing section was minuscule, but the girl section was enormous - setting our little girls up for a focus on their appearance rather than what they can accomplish. Thus began her search for affordable high quality educational toys for girls. She knew her boys would be offered a microscope, but didn’t know if the the little girls around them would be - and she believed in order for the world change everyone has to be given the opportunity to soar from the beginning.
